Re: Enterprise Manager
If I right click on a file to restore using the enterprise manager - the drop down with Restore, Download, Add to restore List are all unavailable.
This is embarrising but I do not see how to attach a screenshot?

Re: Enterprise Manager
Try to attach it as the URL link to the image, which can be uploaded to any free hosting service. Btw, what license version of Veeam B&R are you running in your environment?

Re: Enterprise Manager
1-Click File Restore is only available with the Enterprise Edition of our product.
You should use the standard functionality for instant file level recovery instead.

Rolf, most likely you are using the Standard edition of Veeam B&R. 1-Click File Restore functionality is available in Enterprise edition only. Thanks.

Re: Enterprise Manager : 1-Click Restore Buttons Disabled
I have the same issue with Veeam 6 Enterprise (have confirmed the version is def Enterprise).
But my issue is that its happening with users assigned the role of "file restore operator" and not a "Portal Administrator" They can browse the backups, but the file restore option is grayed out. Is this correct? Ideally I dont want to give my Service Desk full access.

Stephen, users with the File Restore Operator role should have access to the file management section and are able to perform file browsing, searching and restore operations. Please verify group membership, FLR operator restrictions applied and if everything looks fine, please contact our support team.
You can find more info about the groups and restrictions in our Enterprise Manager User Guide (starting from page 21).

Re: Enterprise Manager : 1-Click Restore Buttons Disabled
The issue is that the restore operations are not accessible if you log in as a portal administrator after being logged in as a file restore operator. This will be addressed in the 6.1 update version.pcrebe wrote:Know issue, i need wait 6.1 version... But i don't understood why (ID#5180953)

I have the same issue and opened case 5182938 yesterday.
We're running Veeam 6 Enterprise.
It looks like it's missing the actual backup file.

Re: Enterprise Manager : 1-Click Restore Buttons Disabled
I have the same problem where the backup file does not exist in the repository yet I still see the date as a 1-click file restore 'restore point'. Is there a way to remove these dates and only see valid - current restore points that actually have files that are in the respositories?
I have actually deleted the backups using the Veeam Backup Console then re-ran the backups to see if that would clear the old dates and they continue to remain.
I have also cleared the checkbox under Guest file system catalog under Configuration and I still see a history of backup restore points when accessing 1-click file restore.
I have had a case opened with this for the last week and I am getting no where with it so far - case ID 5182357

Re: Enterprise Manager : 1-Click Restore Buttons Disabled
Had a resolution for this today -- Support attempted to reproduce this in their labs and found that indeed the Enterprise Manager will seemingly hold into older backups and represent them as 'restore points' in the 1-click file restore functions -- along with the current useable restore points.
I asked if these would / could be removed and how to do that and they came back with manually removing the files at the server level. Follow up with support to find out what files to remove.
I was able to remove these files and now see that these older point are gone. I would suspect that removing backups through the Backup & Replication console doesn't remove these files and keeps them indefinitely?

Re: Enterprise Manager : 1-Click Restore Buttons Disabled
Robert, in Enterprise version, restore points data is kept for the amount of months specified in the Enterprise Manager, under Configuration > Settings (even in case the restore points were actually removed - either manually or according to backup job retention settings). In case you are using tapes for long-term backups retention, this functionality allows you to perform search in backup files that were offloaded to tapes.
