Messages in Chinese?!

A few days ago, I installed VBO365. Backups run fine!
But all status messages/e-mail are in Chinese?
What am I overlooking?

FYI: the software is installed on a Dutch version of Windows 10 Professional.
Perhaps this has something to do with it?

They are send with a wrong character encoding.
Please see this kb to change the encoding. UTF-8 should be ok.

One additional question:
Outlook now shows the message text.
While the Gmail-client on my foon and Chromebook does not.

Any suggestions where this may come from? And what to do?

How is the messaged displayed?
Chinese fonts or a blank screen?
Is there text (white color on white screen)?

Please log a support call for this specific one. It seems strange that it shows correctly in Outlook but not on other clients.

To make sure we are on the same page: we are working with the community edition.
Would this make a difference? Either on the product features and/or logging the support call?

Within the Gmail client it is displayed as a black "text" (i.e. the Chinese font) on a white background.
Within Outlook it is displayed a nicely Veeam-formatted content.

You can even open a support case with the community edition, but support will be provided on best effort.
I recommend to open a case as Mike told you.
