Thank you
Gabriele

Re: Oracle RMAN Report
Hi Gabriele.
As of today, no. Not through Veeam One at least.
You can use native RMAN Reporting though, like "LIST BACKUP SUMMARY;" will toss you a great list of all backups made - Veeam Plugin emulates "SBT_Tape" and that will be your target VBR server.
Thanks!

Re: Oracle RMAN Report
How about today, does VeeamOne support RMAN reporting yet? We just got several instances and management would like daily reports on success of backups. We are running v10 currently. Thank you.

Hi Werner,
Could you please tell us what particular information you are looking for and how an ideal report would look like?
Thanks

Re: Oracle RMAN Report
Hi Fedor
any information is already an improvement, as currently there is no information whatsoever. What is shown on the VBR console is already more than can be accessed via any other means.
What I would like to see
* Per Database (so, _not_ per VM, as it can host multiple DBs)
** Database Name
** host name
** data, data+archivelog or archivelog backup
** backup level & estimated retention (bc controlled by RMAN)
** capacity backed up
** RMAN return code (+ optionally RMAN log)
The RC is important bc we encountered already a couple of times that the plugin process froze and RMAN did not finish entirely. As a result subsequent backups could not be launched, resulting in several DBs not being backed up anymore.
The host name is useful, since it is possible for DBs to be "migrated" to another VM for load balancing reasons. That is another reason why it doesn't make sense to run a report per VM.
A DB can be backed up by different "scope" (only data, only logs, ...) so it would make sense to being able to aggregate per DB.
Moreover, we have a very busy DB generating like 2TB of redo logs per day. These logs are being backed up evey 15 minutes. So aggregating per day could also be useful.
Note that I am not an actual DBA, so any other Oracle DBAs out there are welcome to chime in.
Looking forward to see what you guys will make of this

do you have some information please if is possible to create some report for backups jobs done with SAP Hana plugin/backint?

Re: SAP Hana plugin report
Hi Stano,
Currently, with V11a, this is not possible, but we are planning to change that in the future versions.
I'll merge your question with the topic you linked.
Thanks

Hi Vitaliy
Is there already an update yet?
When will VeeamOne support RMAN reporting?
This would help us immensely.
Thank you!

Hello,
Besides those two specific reports for managed plugins, we have as well:
PS: Unmanaged plugins visibility is planned, but we can not share any date, we are currently doing our research.
