Repo full - proceed on other Repo

Post by hirratas »

Hello

soon my repo will be full. It will take a long time to copy the backup files from the job to another repo/server.
Is there a way to tell the the b&r job to "proceed" on another repo?

So that I do not need to wait till the move of the files to another repo is finished so i can change the backup files location.
Thanks a lot

Hi hirratas

Have a look at this topic.

A Job cannot be edited to use a new backup repo without first copying the metadata and backup files to the new backup repository.

Easiest way would be to clone the job and edit the cloned job to use the new backup repository. This needs the enterprise or enterprise plus edition (or VUL).

If you don‘t have such a license, use one of the methods in that topic. Or create a new job and target it to the new storage. An active full must be done either way, when you don‘t want (or can) to copy the backup files to the new storage.
