Ending Transaction Log Backup needs long time

Post by WinstonWolf »

Hi there ,

On one of our Backup Jobs the ending of the Transaction Log Backup needs very long time .

Perhaps when i create an Quick Backup Job for an VM , the it needs longe time till the Job starts because of "Ending SQL Transaction Log Backup" .

Maybe it can up till 10 Minutes ore more .

Is there an Solution for this ? Or do i need some configurations ?

Thanks
Michael

Update ,
Our Backup Server is not in Domain and in an own Network . We Use Server as Log Shipping Server in the Production LAN , in the same where the SQL VMs resides .

Hi Winston

What does our support say?
Analyzing the debug logs is the best way to see what's happening in your environment.

Without case number, the topic will eventually be deleted by moderators.

Problem solved .

I disabled all Transaction Log Backup Jobs .
Remove as Log Shipping Server the Server which resides in the different Network .
Add only the Server in the same LAN as the SQL Server was.
