Upgrade Wizard Output
Hoping someone will know a quick answer to this one. I'm running the VBO365 Upgrade wizard/checker from a v4 installation, and it says "Your system is up to date". I expected it to say something about v6 being available.
Is this normal, does it only check for patches to the current major version?
Cheers, Rob.

Hi Rob,
That's weird and personally I expect all the v4 and v5 systems to be getting notifications about the upgrade to v6 )
What build are you currently on? You can check it under the main menu -> Help and Support -> About

Re: Upgrade Wizard Output
Hi Polina. It's 4.0.1.545. I originally thought it was something to do with blocked Internet connections, but we've checked that and it seems to be fine, so looks like it's the Veeam output.
Cheers, Rob.

Re: Upgrade Wizard Output
Rob,
It seems that there's an issue that we cannot instantly identify. To investigate, we need to inspect logs from your server.
Please do the following:
- Enable Extended logging as described here https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=60
- Run update wizard again
- Collect logs
- Open a support case and provide the collected logs
- Post your case ID here for the follow-up
Thanks!

Re: Upgrade Wizard Output
Hi Polina. I've logged the case under 05509472. The log file output shows :-
29/06/2022 15:00:38 77 (18820) Checking for updates (current version: 4.0.1.545)...
29/06/2022 15:00:38 77 (18820) Automatic update query: version=4.0.1.545&vex_version=10.0.1.519&vesp_version=10.0.1.519
29/06/2022 15:00:38 77 (18820) Sending request to URL: https://vbo.butler.veeam.com:443/api/v1 ... 10.0.1.519...
29/06/2022 15:00:39 21 (18588) Validating certificate...
29/06/2022 15:00:39 21 (18588) successfully validated
29/06/2022 15:00:39 77 (18820) No updates found
Interesting, using the URL in a browser returns HTTP error 460, but that could be normal because of a missing payload.

Thank you!
Meanwhile, it seems that we identified the root cause and will fix it soon.

Re: Upgrade Wizard Output
Any idea if that will require a change to the client end, or is it an issue with your upgrade server?

Re: Upgrade Wizard Output
Sorry, I should have said. The reason I ask is that if you fix the problem your end, you could find lots of customers suddenly automatically update (default VBO setting) when they weren't expecting it. I can imagine some unhappy people.....

The fix will be on our end. You will just get a message that an update is available and ready for installation.

Re: Upgrade Wizard Output
The response from Support is "I may inform that there is no issue with the Veeam update server.". Now I'm more confused than ever!

Re: Upgrade Wizard Output
Keep calm, a fix is coming )
Technically, your support engineer is correct - there're no issues with the server itself, but some of the rules that we use for delivering the update were set up incorrectly. We'll fix them and you'll receive the v6.
