Hi,
I use Veeam B&R for a year and now i want to create a disaster recovery plan in case of all production servers failed.
My infrastructure are 4 physical server and 6 VM Hyper-V machines.
- physical server a (1st domain controller)
- physical server b (2nd domain controller, Veeam Backup Server)
- physical server c(hyper-v server, 3 hyper-v machines)
- physical server d(hyper-v server, 3 hyper-v machines)
In case that all server and network from server room failed, what best practise should i use to recover the vm from backup. In this case the Veeam Backup Server will be off. So i will have only the backup from 3nd storage infrastructure.
I plan to create a second Veeam Backup Server to DR site,so i can read the veeam backup from 3nd storage infrastructure machine.
Also i plan to use an old server to restore there, all the vm from the veeam backup until the recovery of the main site.
Can i setup a second Veeam Backup Server for this purpose or it is not a good idea? Also i didn't find an option to backup the physical domain controller. Is that possible with Veeam B&R or not?
