sha256ECDSA256 - Certificate problems

Hi All,

I can sign a certificate without issue. I can set this to be used by Veeam. Unfortunately when I try to deploy an agent - it fails every time.

I do not have this issue if I use a CA using a different signature algorithm (such as sha256RSA).

Has anybody else seen this - and do you know of a workaround.?

Hi Jedi

Welcome to the R&D Forums.
May I ask, why you don't use the build-in wizard to generate a self signed cert?

Could you please open a support case for this technical issue? Without the logs, it's difficult to say why it doesn't work.

Hi Fabian,

Our use case will not allow for Self Signed Certs.

I have opened a support case. (Case #05603515).

I am happy to send over the logs. I'll compile these later tonight.

Thank you for the case number.
I posted two kb articles which you can use to collect the log files (VBR and Agent).

Hi

I removed the logs.
Log posting in the forum is not allowed per forum rule.
And they can contain internal information which you don't want to leak.

Logs will be analyzed by our support team (Forum is run by Product Management).

Hi Fabian,

Apologies. I used a test environment to create the logs as we cannot release any data from the live system.

I appreciate the security implications and must admit that I hadn't read the forum rules.

When I eventually receive our support agreement number I will update the case again.
