Feature request - Dark mode

I see this has already been requested for 365 product, but I would like to see it in BNR. It's nice to change just the title bars and such, but I would like to change all of this gray/white stuff to dark gray or black!

Apparently, this would require re-creating thousands of icons, due to all of them having white backgrounds (as opposed to transparent). This will keep our designers busy for a while!

Hello.

I am still waiting for the dark mode.
My eyes are burning with this white screen. They are sensitive to light, and I set every display to dark as much as possible. The add-on "Dark Reader" does an impressive job, maybe you could work with the developers?

No progress so far. But whenever next UI refresh comes it should have a dark mode, because we will need to re-create all icons anyway.

Pity the icons are not vector graphics. Then they could be sized and colored programmatically.

FWIW, even if it clashed, I wouldn't mind keeping the toolbars/icons as-is and just changing the background/font colors. It might look a little odd, but it's better than eye fatigue.

Having reduced white on-screen would still be an improvement; the grey background on the sidebar/toolbars is a lot less painful than the white background on the main pane/dialogs.

Hi, how is this request progressing?

I'd like to state that if one is suffering from eye floaters it can ease problems if using Darkmode.
It's hard to grasp that this request was made over 4 year ago but not still any Darkmode available.

V13 will have the Dark mode.

Not really hard to grasp though if you read my previous responses... thousands of icons needed to be recreated to support dark mode.

Yeah, that would be tedious. Perhaps SVG icons could be used instead, which should theoretically make dynamic recoloring possible?
