I have a backup to tape job and configured to export the tape to the mailslot after the job finished. The original tape library configuration has 40 slot, which was filled al slots with tape (40 pieces). Yesterday I enabled the mailslot (5 slots) on the HPE managemenet page and the Veeam realized, that the 36-40 slot set to mailslot, se these tape is greyed out. This tapes was removed from mailslot. After the backup to tape job, the export not worked, the wrote tape didn't moved to mailslot. (I can move the tape to the mailslot through the HEP management page. I got the following warning:
Failed to call RPC function 'GetElementsStatuses': The indicated element does not exist. DeviceIoControl(ChangerGetElementStatus) with eAddress = '0' and number = '5', symLink = '\\.\Changer1'.. InParams:
.
.
.
Cannot to detect I/E ports (Veeam.Backup.Common.IEPortNotDetectedException)
Should it be the problem if the Veeam database contain the information about the 36-40 slots tape information? Do I have to remove from catalog these tape to work the export to mailslot?
That sounds like a technical issue. Please provide a support case ID for this issue, as requested when you click New Topic.

Can you please perform an "invetory library" this should scan for changed media slots and read out all barcodes again. Not sure if it would help here, but I would perform it before I open a case.
Open the Tape Infrastructure view.
Expand the Libraries node and select the library you want to inventory.
Click Inventory Library on the ribbon. Alternatively, you can right-click the tape library and select Inventory Library from the shortcut menu. Veeam Backup & Replication will perform inventory for all online tapes in the library.
I tried to invetory library and remove the tapes from the database which were on mailslot, but the warning still being and the tape didn't move to mailslot.

Have you installed the latest drivers for both the MSL and the drives? https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/softw ... anguage=de
Also check the device manager if all devices use this driver and are recognized correctly.
Yes, the MSL driver is installed on tape server. The tape library is shown correctly in device manager. https://ibb.co/HhjdGr4
The "Use native SCSI commands instead of Windows driver" checkbox was unselected, now I enabled it. What is the difference if is select or not select?
Thanks.
And what do you have under "Medium Changer Device"? Is the MSL3040 listed there?
Normally we want to use the HPE drivers to access the tape devices, therefor the native SCSI commands option should be unchecked.
But if you have issues, you could enable the option, do a rescan/inventory and try to export a tape.
Next time, you must open a support case instead of creating a case to look for help in such technical issues.
