Hi all,
We have a very old tape drive with LTO 3 (800 Gig size). The specific model of the tape drive is HPE Command View MSL 4048. Would this be compatible with Veeam?

Veeam Backup & Replication supports LTO3 to LTO9.
We have a few reports in the forum about HPE MSL 4048 that it works with Veeam.
It's also listed on our unofficial tape support list:
