Can we use the community edition just for restores at a customer?
Hi, we have a customer that has backups from a previous vendor that were made with VEEAM. He wants to be able to just restore files from the backups. Can we use the community edition for this? Customer does not need any backup capabilities just incidental restore. Community edition seems perfect but it does somewhere state that it can't be used to provide services to third parties. If it can't be used what should we suggest the customer to use? He does not need backup licenses.

Hi Karl
I can see in your support cases that you had contact with our sales department. Did you got your answer?
That would have been my recommendation to contact them. Here in the forum we can explain how the product works. EULA and license specific questions are handled by our sales organization.
Best,
Fabian
