yes, I agree with the poll that is conducted by Mike R. in this thread: veeam-backup-for-microsoft-365-f47/poll ... 58849.html that the main reason of backing up the M365 objects is to protect the backup from the Accidental deletions by end-users/ administrators
How does the VBM365 protect the backup from Accidental deletions by end-users/ administrators, when the AD user objects are deleted from OnPremise or out of the sync OU and the object is deleted from Azure AD / Entra ID and M365?
Because our existing BaaS service has this issue where the AD objects are deleted, then the backup objects are also deleted from the S3 backup bucket.

Hi Albert
Try todo the restore from the organization node and you will see backups of removed Mailboxes: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=70
When you start the restore with "right-click" on a backup job, you won't see deleted mailboxes. On the job, only objects which are still processed by a backup job will be listed.
Protection of EntraID user data is a different request on which you already have provided a +1.

Best,

Backup data is only deleted when it is out of retention (or from a backup administrator through VB365 PowerShell commands)then the backup objects are also deleted from the S3 backup bucket.
