So I am thinking..
1. I could setup another SOBR with a NAS performance tier (PS1200T) and then setup the capacity tier to the VDCV - obviously would require VM's backed up in more than one job (and add to the VBK count) but could give compression and encryption.
2. Setup a job directly to write to the VDVC - would also be an extra job config (and vbk but not locally) but could give compression and encryption.
3. Setp a backup Copy job to write the data after it is backed up to the EXG. This would not require a new backup file (still be an additional job) and this would copy data from the EXG but would this be EXG's dedupe and encryption copied or just whatever encryption/compression I have setup in the copy job. If it is EXG's encryption how would a restore to an alternate location from the VDCV work?
4. Any other options/suggestions?
In a perfect world I would just write my full weeklys and monthlys to the VDCV as I am encrypted and immutable (EXG's version of immutability which is a little different) locally for a minimum of 14 days. I think this more possible with the first 2 options but not with the copy job that I have seen.
Basically I am just trying to see what may be the best option (considering final cloud size, job count and number of VBK's) without having to setup all three options and analyze.
First post ever here so feel free to tell me if this is a dumb question!

Thanks for any input!
