Hi all, i have a question regarding the Linux hosts authentication within VBR. This is not an issue, just a question from one of our customers.
I've also posted this question in the Community hub (https://community.veeam.com/discussion- ... #post65289), but as Shane correctly mentioned, it would be better to ask this here or by a support request.
Is the only option, to get information about the current acknowledged systems so far, by exporting them, and check the exported file? Is there an option to get these informations from the config-database or from anything else?
thanks for providing this information.
I think my customer will be fine with the PowerShell command.
The customers use case is only for one reason: in the UI there's a number of trusted hosts listed - but we don't see which one. Also we had no reference in the Inventory pane to them.
So we want to know which hosts are in that list. With the PowerShell it's possible to do a scheduled report, even it's only for documentation.
Thanks and best regards
Markus

Hi Fabian again,
today we discussed the mentioned topic.
My customer now has some additional questions:
Currently, in his exported list are 3 KnownHosts.
For two of them, he is aware where they come from... not for the 3rd one... (is there any option to check, where this Host is from/when this Host was included in the configuration).
He can imagine that these Host was a possible restore location... But isn't quite sure.
In the past, they hadn't selected the "Add unknown hosts to the list manually (more secure)". Meanwhile, we have turned this on.
And finally, is there an option to delete this not wanted host from the config?
Don't get me wrong, but it's hard to accept for the customer, why there are trusted hosts. As this host is not even visible within VBR.
Best, Markus
