Cannot add ProxMox Server after Uprade to V12.2
Hello,
since Proxmox is supported with version 12.2, I immediately carried out the update. However, ProxMox (and other Servers like KVM) are not displayed under ‘Iventory - Add Server’.
I can still only choose between ‘VMWare vSphere and “Microsoft Hyper-V”. What could be the cause?
There are no problems on another machine with a new installation.
Maybe someone knows what to do,
Thank you and best regards,
Fred

Hi,
If you open "Apps and features" on your VBR server, does it have Veeam Plug-Ins listed?
Thanks!

Hello and thanks for the answer.
Yes, there are some plugins installed, including ‘Proxmox Virtual Environment Plug-In for Veeam Backup & Replication’
Any other ideas? I am at a loss.
Thank you and best regards,
Fred

Hello Fred,
Just to be sure, you did update from 12.1 to 12.2, correct?

Hello and thanks for your reply! In this case the system was unfortunately not regularly maintained, i think it was patch level 12.0.0.1420.
Best regards,

Tried following but reinstalling plugins and repairing with the ISO doesn't make any change.

Hmm...that's odd. What happens if you try and install KVM plugin separately (can be found in "My Products" at my.veeam.com under 'Virtualization Plug-Ins tab in the bottom).
Thanks!
Thanks!

- Stop all Veeam services
- Add registry key
Code: Select all
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication\API\DbProvider Key = Port Value = 6172
- Start services again
Hope this helps,
