Hi, after a network incident in my server room my jobs failed with messages "Failed to create processing task for VM {vmname} Error: Failed to retrieve object hierarchy: exception ID 4a1ebcc2-2a2f-4f4f-a663-4559c176c852".
Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone before?

Re: Case #07581157 - Replication Job failed after network incident
Hi,
I had this error after updating the SSL certificate on my Vsphere server. What I did is not the rescan above, but right click the vcenter server, choose properties, and went through the process. On mine, it popped up a window telling me there was a new certificate, which I added to my backup servers machine certificate store, then clicked ok to accept the certificate. Kept going through until the end of this. Once done, I retried my backup which worked.
This may not be your problem, but perhaps give it a try. There was a disconnect between my credentials/SSL Cert and the vsphere server. Perhaps retry this, and then retry with another user with rights?
Anyway, hope it helps.
Cheers

Exactly the same happened to me after we updated the SSL certificate on Vsphere.
