Yes, Windows 7 is supported. Please review the list of other supported platforms in the Release Notes document.

Ok, thanks Vitaliy.
I have read release notes and others guide already, wondering if not mentioning edition in the documentation means all edition are supported, even Home Ed.
So, I got my answer now,

Yes, usually OS editions are not mentioned in the release notes.

Hi all - I have two Win 7 machines - Win 7 Pro and Win 7 Home - the Pro installed and the backup went fine - the Home would not install saying - Current operating system not supported or lacks the required service pack. What version of .Net is required?

Hello,

Windows 7 SP1 must be supported, please refer to this page for more details. I'd recommend to make sure that the required service pack is installed.

Thanks!

I have this same issue where I can't install the Veeam Agent for Windows on a Windows 7 Home computer. I have 2 computers with Windows 7 Home Edition, one with SP1 and one without, but the Microsoft Agent for Windows isn't installing on either computer. Says Unsupported OS. I have no issue installing it on Windows 7 Pro or above and attaching it to our Veeam Backup repository. Just an issue with the Home edition. So is it supposed to work on the home edition? If it is, is there anything I need to try to get it to work (I have SP1 already installed on one of the computers)?

Hi Firewalker96

Windows 7 SP1 is still supported with Veeam Agent v6. There is no documented limitation regarding Windows 7 Home edition.

Please contact customer support, if you face issues to deploy our agent on a Windows 7 SP1 machine.

Best,
