i have updated one of my instances from v6 to v8 to try it out.
I noticed all my german Windows instances can no longer be backed up.
First problem is that Veeam uses Usernames inside a script which can be localized and is a well known problem on Microsofts end so it is recommended to use SIDs.
I provided Veeam with a fix to replace this lines in their script:
icacls $logFolder /grant:r "BUILTIN\Administrators:(OI)(CI)(F)"
icacls $logFolder /remove "BUILTIN\Users"
with this lines:
icacls $logFolder /grant:r "*S-1-5-32-544:(OI)(CI)(F)"
icacls $logFolder /remove "*S-1-5-32-545"
After this the agent now can write Logs again but still does not work.
I provided Veeam with logfiles.
My case was 07675699 but Veeam yesterday simply closed the case without any answer.
So be aware if you are using non-english Versions. Veeam Backup for Azure v8 will not work and Veeam seems to be not interessted in fixing it.

In your ticket details, you refer to Veeam Agent, but these forums are for Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure. Can you please clarify which product you're referring to, so that I could share this info with the QA team?
