Errow when copying to immutable storage

Hi,
We are in the process of setting up a Veeam customer with primary Veeam storage on a Windows server and seconday storage on a Veeam immutable storage device (tape will follow).
All was working perfectly until one VM decides to throw us a curveball.
The immutable storage is initially set at 7 days, but now this is happening
08:39:40 Error: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.
08:39:38 Failed to process mssql01.domain.tld (0 B) at 24-05-2025 08:39:40

The server in question is a MS SQL server.
Several changes were made before the error started

• SQL transactionlog backups were enabled, but the firewall didn't allow trafic from the SQL server to the selected repository. That has since been corrected
• The Nutanix backup appliance was changed from one NIC to two NICs in order to avoid having to tracverse the firewall between the appliance and the Nutanix cluster IP

I've tried to remove the VM from the backup job and from the registered backups. No changes - the error still occurs.

As we are not in prodution yet I could either wait 7 days for the immutability to expire, or we could create a new immutable repository, but I would like to know what caused this and more important how to rectify it if it happens again.

I'm aware of a known issue regarding MSSQL on a Nutanix AHV VM and copy jobs to immutable backup storage with the following result: "Backup copy of an AHV backup with AAP fails if the GuestOS has a different date format."

Please contact our customer support team to confirm that your environment is experiencing this specific issue. Our support team has the necessary tools and training to analyze logs and provide an action plan to resolve the problem.

Hi,
I appreciate the response, and as we hadn't entered the production stage yet, we redid the immutable storage part and stopped the periodic sql transaction log.
All is good

If you want to test it again, the bug itself should be solved with our next patch (v12.3.2).
