Moderator split from veeam-backup-replication-f2/managed-har ... 96192.html
I've installed the newest ISO several times on newly created Vmware VM's that meet the system requirements, but no matter what, after the system finishes installing and reboots, we get the message "You are in emergency mode." "Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked." Pressing Enter only returns to the emergency mode error.
I've seen the article regarding resetting account lockout by removing the veeamsvc and vhradmin folders in faillock, but they don't even exist when I look for them there.
Any ideas?

Re: [VHRISO] "you are in emergency mode" after reboot
Hello,
VMware is the most tested platform and if that doesn't work, then it sounds like an environment-specific technical issue. Please provide a support case ID for this issue, as requested when you click New Topic / Post Reply.

Faillock is irrelevant for Hardened Repository ISO 2.0 because accounts unlock themselves after 1min.
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: [VHRISO] "you are in emergency mode" after reboot
As a point of interest, if I boot the system with the grub recovery mode option, it works just fine. I'm planning to evaluate both grub configs to see if there is a difference. I'll open a ticket when I have more info.
