no Login possible after activating MFA in VRO

Hi there,
i just did an update to 7.2.1 in my lab and also at a Customer site.

In my lab environment, i just activated MFA - after that, a login is not possible anymore. Steps as seen in the Screenshots...

At the Customer site (i did created a backup of the VRO system, for sure :D ), it's exactly the same behaviour.
After taking a look under "C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Orchestrator\Log\VROServer.log" i cannot find any information to this issue.

I can create a support ticket for this for sure, but have currently no access to the Web UI anymore - so providing more logs or informations will be a bit difficult.
First of all, we do a rollback at the customer site, to gain access to our Web UI again.

Hi Markus,

It may be that the previous website configuration is stuck in the browser cache.
A simple check would be to try opening the VRO UI in incognito/inPrivate mode(depending on browser). If it works that way, then clear all the cookies and other stored configuration for the VRO web address, and try logging in again.

Hi Alec, thanks for your quick response.
But sadly, it's not related to the browser cache. I cleaned already the cache and checked with incognito :/
I can open a support case with the customers license (tomorrow or Thursday) or I could provide you with logs of my NFR / Lab Instance. The behaviour is the same.

Hi Markus, We've identified the issue here in R&D, it's an database upgrade problem.
While we confirm root cause and prepare a patch, there is a simple manual fix you can run to fix the customer's MFA. I've already shared it with our support team - you can message me directly for it too.

A quick update, we plan to patch the VRO 7.2.1.286 build to fix the upgrade issue. That means we will be shipping an update to the latest Veeam Data Platform ISO (VeeamDataPlatformPremium_v12.3.2_20250630) that contains this build. Hopefully the updated ISO will ship tomorrow, I'll update here as I know details. Thanks!

Hi again,
meanwhile Ekaterina from Support told our customer a SQL query. Yet they didn't applied it.
Should we wait for the hotfix oder proceed with this Query and check for the results?

Hi again,

we just applied the mentioned SQL query.
After that, a Login Dialog with MFA enrollment is displayed... we have now access with MFA to our Orchestrator Environment :-)
