FREQ: Lower CPU usage when compacting local full backup file
Anytime a Veeam Agent job is compacting a full backup file workstations slow to a crawl when the file is local. Applications can barely be opened to switched to. A throttle for system usage when compacting local full backup files is really needed!

Re: FREQ: Lower CPU usage when compacting local full backup file
Hi Nate,
Thank you for your request. Have you considered switching to Synthetic Full backups instead?
If your backups target a backup server with Fast Clone–supported repositories, Synthetic Full backups will be fast and won’t require additional storage.
This would eliminate the need to run Compact.
Best,
Fabian
