Proxmox Support in Veeam Software Appliance

Post by ry64 »

I've deployed the new Veeam appliance to our lab environment to start testing it out. I went to add our PVE test host, but noticed under virtual platforms that only vSphere and Hyper-V are listed. Is Proxmox support in the appliance still under development, or is there a way to add the PVE host that I'm not seeing? Thanks in advance.

Hi Ryan,

At this time, we only support VMware vSphere and Hyper-V (Whats New in v13 - Page 7) in Web UI.
Proxmox support, along with other missing workloads, will be added to the Web UI over time.
Our goal is to eventually have every feature and workload available in the web UI, but it will take a few versions to get there.

Meanwhile you can continue using the Windows based backup console for your Proxmox infrastructure.

Makes sense, I'll get the Windows console installed and test it out. Thank you!
