But with one updated package updated every day (on average) such approach to updates is completely unrealistic even with a few VSA? And I like to think you will have many more than a few soon?
So either you will have to pay a number of people for whom it becomes their only job to patch VSAs (bad for your business) or you will no longer be updating your appliances too often (bad for your security posture). Neither is a good solution?
Could you clarify what management overhead of the local mirror are you talking about and why is it not "set and forget" situation in your case?
