Honestly, from my perspective it was becoming increasingly more important to stay close to the users and their feedback with each promotion, not the other way around. I really don't get it how senior product folks can do their job well without talking to their customers for hours each and every day. Especially at C level, where you must take all the decisions yourself. Let me tell you Gostev, my colleague told me recently that you Veeam guys being to close to your customers is 50% of the reason why we are your customer! (the other half is a fine working product ofc.)

I truly enjoyed each of our conversations at every VeeamON and at the Vanguard trip in Prague. I honestly can't envision Veeam without you. (*) that's why everytime I recieve an offer for a good job in a company that's not using Veeam, I really struggle in the process of the yes/no decision

When we were building more clusters than standalone Hyper-V servers the in-guest backup we were using at the time became a bear to manage. Then, there was the cost in resources to run the backup solution in-guest.
While evaluating what backup product to run with back then, and there were a lot, it was ultimately your blunt honesty about the product, its strengths, and weaknesses needing more love that brought us to choose Veeam.
Over the years, your honesty about what needs to be addressed within the product confines was always refreshing because I learned to trust that Veeam _did_ have our best interests at heart.
I am very grateful for your hard work over the years Mr. Gostev.
There are few in our industry that would be able to look back over time and see such a strong, honest, and faithful to the _customer_ product team member over that entire time period.
That man is definitely you! :0)
