Update failed

Post by williamr »

One of our repos fails updates using the local mirror. The failing one was built about a month prior to the working one, before the update mirror was available. Could the GPG key have expired and can it be updated or is a full rebuild required?

Hi Richard,

We can’t say for sure, as we don’t have access to your environment or the Veeam Updater logs. Also, we can’t investigate issues like this through a forum topic—please contact Customer Support so they can properly investigate.

Don't forget to provide your support case ID for this issue (as requested when you click New Topic). Without a case number, the topic will eventually be deleted by moderators.

Best regards,

Hi all,

Managed to resolve this. After going through the settings on both repositories the gateway had been set wrong so very much a user error. Both repositories now update using the local mirror.

Support (via 3rd party) suggested:

"Veeam repository update fails, GPG key error
https://www.veeam.com/kb2654

The following can be used from your mirror if you preferred
curl http://your-local-mirror/keys/veeam.gpg | sudo apt-key add - "

Very happy Veeam released a managed hardened ISO to build repositories its a great addition.
