Install - Update not possible on a client (with Norton 360)

Standalone Veeam Agent installation, previous version 6.3.2 trying to update to 13.0.2. Installation is "old", started with version 4 then updated step by step to 6.3.2.

The procedure did not passed throught, so I decided to ripoff the previous installation (fresh backup data available) and reinstall, however downloaded file pulled through installation but the service could not start.
I saved the content of C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Setup\Temp if needed.

Before trying to reinstall, I removed all the files from C:\ProgramData\Veeam of the previous installation with attempted updated (saved in separated folder), the content of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam registry key.

Install seems to have mostly passed through, but service do not start up.

On this computer is installed Norton 360 fully updated at present day (26.3.10886 (build 26.3.10886.973)) which is not my usual bread and butter but still installed here and worked nice with Veeam Agent until 6.3.2. Smart firewall function enabled
Computer backup is made via through USB drive, no network use and no necessity to use network.


Again: database/old data is not an issue, ready to wipe everything about Veeam but not to reinstall windows :)

Our antivirus exclusions for Veeam Agent are documented in KB2034: https://www.veeam.com/kb2034

If the KB doesn’t help, please contact Customer Support and provide support case ID for this issue (as requested when you click New Topic) as this is not a support forum.

Hi Fabian, thanks for the answer.

Now, I explicitated the "particularity" that has this environment and any histori about this free install
I install and update Veeam Agent since version 3.0 and it's practically the first time that i got stuck in this kind of issue. I'm also aware that there's only reported Antivirus with possible problems (BitDefender) but this does not apply here. I used AVG/Avira, Eset, Sophos and Windows as security product without encountering any problem on Veeam Agent.

Anyway, I'm not looking or an explicit and direct support (I will consider to fill a case) however... IMVHO should be useful as KB article than a "clean all the existing data procedure" of Veeam Agent/Endpoint Backup be available at least for Microsoft Windows...
