Hi,
we are a Service Provider and thus we backup many different customers/organizations/tenats.
Due to things that happen a M365 Tenant may no longer be accessible. Maybe it is removed completely or maybe another Service Provider takes over.
Regardless of the reason in many cases we have an obligation/requirement to keep the backups until the retention time is over thus we can't remove the organization that can't be synced as doing so means we can't restore backups anymore.
We are using Veeam One for monitoring and alerting and it raises an alarm when an organization can't be synced anymore.
1. Veeam One needs the ability to include which organization the alert is related to (it does not today)
2. M365 Backup should have the option to mark an organization as inactive, manually and perhaps automatically when no jobs for the organization exists.
I have cases open with both VO and M365.
Best regards,
Mikael

Re: Unavailable Organization/tenant
Hi Mikael,
From a technical perspective, what would the 'Inactive' status in VB365 help you to achieve? Am I correct, that it'd just help you to quickly identify such organizations?

Re: Unavailable Organization/tenant
Hi Polina,
it would stop alerts from being generated by Veeam One if no error is triggered in VB365. There is also no point in trying to sync an organization that can't be synced.
