Reports vs Veeam Backups off

Post by felyjos »

Hello,

I just noticed our Veeam Reports on Veeam Backup are off one day...

Veeam Backup is running from Sunday 7:00 pm until about Monday 2:30 am.
Collection is running by Monday 7:15 ending 7:32 am
Report for Current week is running by Monday 7:45 am

e.g.:
On Monday the report is empty no data as we run "Current week"
On Monday the report "Past Week" is two weeks back ...

Any idea?
Thanks,
Dom

Hi Dom,

Thanks!

Yes Veeam Backup Status report using "Current Week" & "Past Week" as interval period...
it seems something is strange with the scheduler as if I run the reports interactively they are correct...
Checking the collection... schedules as well but could not find anything yet...

Question: After the job "Collection" is done , are the data IMMEDIATELY available or there is a background job processing updates and so on ... for while ... before the data is really available for reporting?

Thanks,
DOm

With these settings report scoped to the "current week" should have data, let me check it with our QC team tomorrow.

Dom, our dev team asks for logs. Can you please send these to the support team and tell me your ticket number?

Hi Vitaly,

After changing the time of the report I am getting a "partial report" which means that something is going on ... after the collection is done and the report is not accurate until awhile !!!

Thanks,
DOm

Our QC team is trying to reproduce this internally, meanwhile can you please inform your engineer on the observations you've made?

Thanks I am working with your engineer ... I will keep you inform of our findings...
apparently when rerun the backup successfully Veeam Report the Veeam Backup on the date it started which means if you run Veeam backup at 7 pm on 10/20/2013 you will have to check within the previous 10/14/2013 - 10/20/2013 to get the report and not on the morning of 10/21/2013 what we were expecting...

Thanks,
DOm

Still on-going the engineer saw the strange behavior... so he is analysing the logs now...
