Veeam 7 + replication failed : end of file failed to process

Post by kalagan »

Hello everyone,

Here's my problem. I replicate a VM (1.2 TB of datas). When i check the log it says:

Data

Processed 1.2 TB (100 %)
Read 745 GB
Transferred: 751.2 GB (1X)

17/11/2013 18:00:43 :: Processing "VM name" Error: Client error: End of file
Failed to process [srcSaveSignature].
Exception from server: Command is terminated.
Failed to process [srcSaveSignature] command.

It was the second or third time i tried to replicate this VM.

I don't know how to fix this problem because when i check in "replicas" i see that there's a "warning" on the VM and zero restore point, so the replica is useless.

Any idea ?

Have you already updated to the latest product version, as this issue should be addressed in version 7 R2? Thanks.

Hi,

I've tried but it seems that the link doesn't work. It always goes back to the same page and i can't access the ZIP file.

I've just installed the patch. I'll relaunch the replication and let you know.

Thank you.

Hello,

So after i patched the server it worked (1.2 TB of datas replicated in like 40+ hrs). But this morning when I've checked the log, i saw that replication fails again with the following message:

22/11/2013 10:43:56 :: Failed to create processing task for VM "abcde" Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The only difference is that we added 100 GB. I don't get it.

What do you mean by adding 100GB? Have you resized the original VM disk adding 100GB to it? Was this VM replicated successfully before this change? I would also recommend asking support to review the log files.

Hello,

The VM size is 1.7 TB. There was 1.2 TB of datas on it before the last replication but yesterday i added 100 GB of datas to one disk (just file copy between OS with robocopy).

And now i have this error message. I'm going to try to contact the support.

Thanks.

Yes, would be the most effective way, since adding data inside guest OS should not result in such behavior.
