Hi,
we are running backup jobs everyday copying it to a copy repository resulting in 100 TiB.
running a weekly tape out will result in a tape job running for 4 days
weekly we start on saterday, monthly ew start on sunday.
running monthly tapeout we suspect an issue with time out with the weekly on saterday.
What would be a best practice to overcome these issues ?

Re: weekly and monthly tape out
If you use a GFS Media Pool, Veeam should automatically wait or at least retry the monthly tape the next time the tape job will be started.
But If I were you, I would configure a GFS Pool for weekly and monthly on the same weekday.
No one needs a weekly and a monthly tape from the same weekend with the same data If you configure both for Saturday, veeam will automatically "promote" the weekly Tape to a monthly Tape.
Second, If you have issues with tape throughput, you could look into a tape library with multiple drives for parallel processing of the "backup to Tape"-Job.
What type is your Drive? LTO?
There is also a possibility to optimise. Higher LTO Drives will have faster write speed.
