why ?
1- while i want get backup from /storage/dump_tmp due to get backup it's space will be use more than 99%?
2- if answer for question 1 is yes , now what is your solution ? i need get full backup every day from files in /storage/dump
Because you have too much data on your root partition, you need to either perform a cleanup, or extend the logical volume your root resides at.
1. No, it should not - normally veeam doesn't place anything in root partition (except cases when snapshot placement algorithm chooses to place snapshotdata file there).
2. You need to clean up your root partition regardless of your intentions to use or not to use veeam.
If /dev/mapper/vg00-lvol0 will be 100% full, the system will get practically unusable.
i want get backup from one of my folder in virtual machine thus i have added my linux vm as Linux computer and select file level backup and add this path /storage/dump_tmp/
my backup repository is Datadomain now my total virtual disk size is 3.2TB and the total size of /storage/dump_tmp/ is 67G according to follow pic it is spending more than 45 min but progress is on 0 percentage
/storage/dump_tmp - what storage is it? Is it NFS or local storage? Also, what kind of data do you store there - is it a bunch of small files, or rather several large files?
Please give it a try without using a snapshot, and use file-masks to explicitly specify just one of those files to see if that will make any difference. If it won't, then kindly contact our support directly so they can investigate why is it taking so long
1- how can try without using snapshot ?
2- use file-masks to explicitly specify just one of those files (Is that your means select path such as this ?
/storage/dump_tmp/IB-201908312341.tar.gz
1- There is a checkbox right under "file-level backup" radio button.
2 - No, I mean that you need to configure filters under "Advanced settings". Leave the path as it is now (/storage/dump_tmp/), just specify IB-201908312341.tar.gzhere.
