looks like a network issue. Maybe firewall... I suggest to continue with support. I found some cases with the same error message and fixing firewall rules solved it.

you were right, there was a networking issue, after our net&sec Team fix the networking the replications started to end successfully except one tenant that we get the following error:

this tenant has backup copy and Replica Jobs to us(SP)
the backup copy works fine & we didn't find any problems with networking from the tenant side to our Cloud Gateway servers via 6180
Kindly report your findings to the support engineer and continue the investigation, team behind this community is versed in reading debug logs and analyzing network infrastructure (especially in doing so over forum correspondence).
we found the problem, the tenant added a new proxy in his VBR but didn't open the ports in the FW from his proxy srv to our Cloud Gateways
