Using single-use creds warns when collecting hardware info
I am trying to add a Linux (CentOS 7) server to my VBR using single-use credentials. I have followed the instructions here, but when I try to Apply the settings, I get a warning on "Collecting hardware info". After that, I am not able to use the Linux server as a repo - I get an error "Failed to StartAgent: AgentManagerService: Failed to start agent". When I use the exact same creds but as a regular Linux account, I don't get the warning and I am able to create a repo on the server. Am I missing something?

Did you ever find the root cause of this issue? I'm having the EXACT same issue. CentOS 7 and single use credentials showing the warning where as root credentials do not.

Re: Using single-use creds warns when collecting hardware info
I have good news, bad news, bad news, and good news (in that order). The good news is that we did find something of a root cause for this - apparently, some cuts of CentOS 7 (including the one available from the CentOS mirrors) simply will not work. However, there is a different cut (v1406) that WILL allow it to work. The bad news is, I haven't been able to find this cut in the wild anymore (although I've seen it in the past); Veeam provided it to me directly since it worked in their lab. The next piece of bad news is, even with that cut of CentOS 7, you won't be able to enable Fast Cloning on XFS Volumes, because that will ONLY work on CentOS 8. The final piece of good news is that I've been testing with Oracle Linux and have had excellent results all around.

Gotcha! This is only for a lab, so I'll wipe it and retry with CentOS 8 or Ubuntu

If this is just for testing the feature, CentOS 8 works like a charm. FYI, when I installed Oracle, I honestly had to check to make sure that I wasn't installing a new cut of CentOS - it's that similar.
