OneDrive backup: File not found in the database

Post by Beheer »

Hi,

I am trying to get to a Veeam for MS 365 OneDrive backup that is succesful, so no warnings or erros, if that is possible.
I have removed a lot of $RECYCLE.BIN folders that users got copied from their homefolder to onedrive migration years ago.
Veeam didn't like that.

Now I am left with some "File not found in the database" warnings.
When I connect to the users onedrive, the path is correct and the file is present and can be opened.

What does Veeam mean with "the database" and why is the backup job unable to pick up the file?
We use Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, 7.1.0.2031 P20240418

Addition: When I look at the Sharepoint backup, I see the same "File not found in the database" warnings.

Hello,

That sounds like a technical issue. We cannot investigate such issues through a forum topic.
Please provide a support case ID for this issue, as requested when you click New Topic. Without case number, the topic will eventually be deleted by moderators.

„File not found in the database“ sounds like an inconsistency between the backup server metadata and what you have in your repository. Our support team will be able to confirm the root cause.

Best regards,
Fabian

PS: support can only help if you upload logs
