Removing users but keeping backups

Post by notonlyuser »

I would like to remove deleted Microsoft users from Veeam but still have access to the data in the backup. This question came from another user here in the forum years ago: veeam-backup-for-microsoft-365-f47/remo ... 68517.html

But it's different for me. We currently only back up individual specified email accounts and not the entire company. If I remove an email account from the backup, I can no longer access this data in the backup. However, the data backup or the repository itself does not get smaller, so the data should still be included.

Therefore, I always have to leave deleted users in the backup, but this results in many warning messages and the backup is not displayed as OK.

You are right. I can actually access these email backups again here. Thank you!

There is still a repository error, but I will have to clarify this with the support team.
