Feature Request: Quick Backup for specific job

Post by mehmetistanbullu »

Hello Team

Right now we select quick backup random job starts. We need quick backup and starts offsite backup job?! Because of that backup job not quick :D

In quick backup menu we need job selection. Like "add to replication job" menu.

Hi Mehmet,

Quick Backup is designed to create a backup as quickly as possible, which is why it uses the backup job with the most recent restore point for the selected VM.
This approach allows Quick Backup to back up only the smallest amount of changed or new data, resulting in faster backup sessions compared to starting one of the older backup jobs.

Best practice is to write backups to the same location as your virtual machine initially, and then use a backup copy job to replicate the backup offsite. Are you using a different design?

Best,

Yes we don't use backup copy job. Because of this: vmware-vsphere-f24/backupcopy-with-refl ... 86454.html

"Most recent point" argument is logic. In this case, in order to do what I want, I need to finish the offsite backup tasks before the onsite tasks.
