Hello,
After upgrading to Veeam Backup & Replication V13, I encountered an issue with running the Veeam B&R Console from multiple RDP sessions on the backup server.
Environment:
Veeam Backup & Replication V13
Windows Server 2016
Users connect directly to the backup server via RDP
Issue Description:
User A logs on to the backup server via RDP.
Starts the Veeam Backup & Replication Console → works as expected.
User B logs on to the same server via a separate RDP session using the same Windows credentials.
When User B tries to start the B&R Console, the following error appears:
"Failed to connect to the backup server:
The requested resource is already in use.
(0x800700AA)"
The console does not open.
Additional Information:
This setup worked without any issues in Veeam V12.
The problem only appeared after upgrading to V13.
Both RDP sessions use the same Windows user account.
The first session continues to work normally while the second session cannot launch the console.
Questions:
Is this a known change or limitation in V13?
Are parallel console sessions using the same Windows account no longer supported?
Is there a workaround or configuration setting to allow this scenario?
Any feedback or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Georg
