Currently, We had some Veeam agent for windows server jobs connected to our VBR server. the agent was managed by our VBR server. VBR server was a domain join server. We are planning to left out of our domain as workgroup. base on our testing, We lost our connection from our VBR server to Veeam agent for windows. when I do a rescan. the job was stucked. and the agent job was failure. (#08144728). the support engineer renewed the VBR certificate and deploying Veeam agent for Microsoft Windows using Veeam deployment kit. but still not work. Can you advice how to fix this issue?

Hi Apolloxm,

Please continue with Veeam Support, we cannot meaningfully perform troubleshooting over the forums.

As noted in the forum rules, topics on cases must be made after the conclusion of the case, and should be questions about functionality / features.

As I see from the case, the current status is a log review after the most recent changes, so let's wait to see what the log review finds.

I'm sorry to hear about this; the best way to provide feedback and have the interaction reviewed is to use the Talk to a Manager button in the case portal; that will connect you with Support Management and they will review the case and be better able to comment.

HI apolloxm,

Depends on your requirements / environment configuration, I won't be able to give a comprehensive answer here.

If you use credential-based authentication, as long as the backup server can reach the agents (and vice versa), simply provide necessary credentials.

If credentials are restricted / there are restrictions on the domain, consider using deployment kits for certificate based authentication, then you just need to ensure that there is port connectivity as per the User Guide. I use Deployment kits in my lab pretty often as I have non-domain joined backup server and the authentication happens over Kerberos by default which I can't get without domain, so deployment kits are the solution there.

However, this is very high-view and it will depend a lot on your environment -- I would let Support complete their review to understand the current restriction in your environment, and then if you have further questions, update the topic with more details on the situation.
