When trying to install the VEEAM CDP filter on our lab cluster, it exits with this error:

I tried uninstalling the VEEAM CDP filter components ( Put host in Maintenance mode , esxcli software vib remove -n veecdp , exit maintenance mode)
Reinstall works with the same error...

Any suggestions?

assuming that you are not using vSphere 7.0U2 (U2 is unsupported today), that sounds like a technical issue. Please provide a support case ID for this issue, as requested when you click New Topic.

Except for 7.0U2, DNS comes into my mind as common issue. every components needs to be able to resolve every component

Issue was resolved by upgrading the host from the HPE latest 6.7.0 171... ISO to the latest 6.7.0 RB 17700523
