Re: Feature Request - Central Management Console
Hi again.
Restores should be possible from the endpoint. When it comes for a restore, it's usually a single item restore. Users could do this themselves with administrative privileges on the computer. For bare-metal or volume restores, an IT guy should do it anyways, so I agree on that.
Summarizing, I don't see the need of a restore utility directly from the console. It should only be for backups. At least at the first version launch.
regards.

Yes, seems like we are on the same page regarding capabilities for the first launch. Thanks!

+1 for Central Management Console
What I would like:
- deploy/update endpoint agents from Veeam B&R console
- start backups/restores from Veeam B&R console
Please don't develop a web console... i really love the Veeam B&R console
Cheers

Re: Feature Request - Central Management Console
I would like to put in my vote for a Central Management Console (and many of the other feature already posted by others).
And while console integration to VB&R console could be an option, I believe it would benefit from it having a separate console as to be available for those who don't have VB&R, thus positioning it as a desktop / laptop / SMB physical server B&R Solution.
And for me personally I think a Cloud based console would be excellent, and to be totally awesome, have the ability to be multi-tennant.
Great product with great potential.
Thanks

I'd like to have the possibility to backup a USB-drive.
I do my backups to a NAS device, but would like to be able to backup my externally connected USB disk to my laptop.

Tim,
This can be done perfectly today by choosing "local storage"
Thanks

Mike, you can only choose 'local storage' as a Destination for a backup.Mike Resseler wrote:Tim,

Aaahh... Sorry Tim,
Misread that. I thought you meant as a target. Yes, indeed, as of today, you can't protect your USB devices.
But we take your vote
Cheers

Waiting on this and I will completely abandon the mess that has become Acronis. Very important though, ability to backup multiple computers with a single job. This way I can easily manage jobs be departement, or frequency.

Hi Zac,
Thanks for the feedback and your feature request, though one thing is not quite clear to me. Do you want to backup multiple computers remotely within one job?

Would be a nice idea, so we can get only one notification email for similar computers, for instance "Purchase" departmentVitaliy S. wrote:Hi Zac,

Yes, I understand that, but in order to use backup installed in the guest OS, the backup job has to be configured in each guest. Remote backup is possible when you "virtualize" your computers

I know, I'm talking about Veeam Endpoint Backup 2.0 that will be fully customizable and manageable from a Central ConsoleVitaliy S. wrote:Yes, I understand that, but in order to use backup installed in the guest OS, the backup job has to be configured in each guest. Mike,
I viewed the LabTech/Veeam Whiteboard session just a little while ago. Very very cool.
Are there any plans to integrate VEP with N-Able's N-Central?
Thanks
Lonnie

The ability to Deploy, Configure and Monitor would be my top requests for a central console.

Hey sibinsam,
Have you seen the LabTech integration announcement? I know that it’s not similar to the original request, but might be worth checking: Simplified backup & recovery for MSPs with Veeam Endpoint Backup for LabTech

Hello,
what about VBR Console? Would be verry nice to do the same things there with the VEB jobs like the VBR jobs.

Hi,
Agree, this is a good request. Side question: once the integration is available are you going to lock/hide or limit the endpoint’s management from an end-user.Would be verry nice to do the same things there with the VEB jobs like the VBR jobs.

Hello Dima,
as an option it would be nice or a rightsmanagment for ADS-Users. Mostley i am missing start / stop, deployment, configure and monitoring VEB jobs in VBR console.

Eric, thanks for the request.
Could you specify what kind of management you want to perform from VBR server besides job schedules, and restores?

Re: Feature Request - Central Management Console
+1 for me on the request of any kind of management for endpoints
Veeam can even make it into a licensed feature. I'd prefer that over free!
Veeam Endpoint remains free. But Endpoint "Enterprise" costs X amount per client for management from VBR console.

great idea, even it will cost some money...
basic functions - at least - seems logs at server, see proces (if it is waiting for slot, or running..), change policy-schedule remotely..
you can do that more simple that big-sw-management tools like acronis(many useles options..)
