Unable to create recovery media -
[ case number is 01742390 ]
Customer has one Win7Pro x64 wkstn that gives
when we try to create recovery media. AVG Free is disabled.
Looking at that location with Windows Explorer shows
Can't delete it until we remove the S-1-5-5-0-106558 user account associated with it, but it gets re-created when we re-run the Create Recovery Media.
Ideas appreciated. This wkstn did successfully create recovery media several months ago with earlier version of VEB.

Hi,
Run VEB by another administrator user account. I guess, your problem will be resolved.

Bernard,
Is the second screenshot (and the folder with permissions) correct? On the first, I see you have access issues while creating the recovery media to a different folder.

yes, the first screenshot is from the first attempt. The second screenshot is from the second attempt. It looks like it creates a random temp folder on each attempt?

DavoudTeimouri's idea to create another admin account and try to create recovery media from there worked. Maybe there's something messed up with the original admin user profile?

Bernard,
Thanks for the heads up. Did you get any response from our support team?

Had the same issue, looks like for some reason on C:\users\myuser\appdata\local\temp permissions were not set at all, not sure why or which software caused that. Forcing the permissions from C:\users\myuser\appdata\local to subfolders seems to have solved the issue.

Please provide a little more info on what the folder permissions need to set to. I am having the exact same problem while trying to create the recovery media. Thank you.
