Ok, so in other words: there will be no chance to run vCD 9.1 with Veeam 9.5 and vSphere 6.0/6.5?

No, Anton meant a different thing:

According to the plan, next Veeam Backup & Replication update will bring support for vSphere 6.7. The support for vCD 9.1 will be also included in this update.

Thanks.

After some long and hard thinking I came to the same conclusion :)
Thanks for clearing up though!

It never harms to clarify the confusion, especially when it concerns critical infrastructure update. :)

If other questions arise, let us know.

Thanks.

[MERGED] vCloud Director 9.1 Support

Post by xerexb11b » Jun 18, 2018 4:19 pm

I was wondering if in the current VBR 9.5 update 3 if it supports VCD 9.1? If not supported in the current update will it be supported in the 9.5 update 4, and if that is the case does anyone have a date on the release of the update?

No, it does not. Update 3a (that should be released soon) will bring "compatibility" level support for VMware vCloud Director 9.1.
Gostev wrote:VMware vCloud Director 9.1 support is also a part of Update 3a, at what we call "compatibility" level. This basically means that if you upgrade to the new platform version, everything you're doing today is guaranteed to continue working. But there are a couple of minor issues around new features introduced in vCloud Director 9.1 (specifically, with Standalone VMs and Guest vLAN Allowed option) which may require manual tweaks after full VM restore. These issues will be documented in the release notes for Update 3a.
