Re: Veeam installation on Linux / virtual appliance?

Post by Vitaliy S. »

Hello,

No updates about this topic yet. Currently, Veeam B&R (the server component) can be installed on a Windows box only, but thanks for your FR to our next releases.

Thank you!

Hello,

Thanks for your fast respond. According to your answer, I assume that this is still not on the roadmap? Can you explain why? You are providing backup for Linux, I think a lot of companies who are using that feature, do not have a Windows environment. Besides that a lot of tools nowadays are available for Windows/Linux or via an appliance.

Many thanks!

Yes, this is not in the short-term roadmap. Please take a look at the thread your post has been merged to for more info. Thanks!
