Agent upgrade v6.1 to v6.2 doesn't work
Good Afternoon,
I tried to update de Veeam Windows Agent, to the last version, and when I try to update the agent, I receive this message: "In-place upgrade is supported starting from version 4.0 or later".
My later version is 6.1
Thanks.
Jordi.

Re: Agent upgrade v6.1 to v6.2 doesn't work
Hi @ybarrap2003,
Now, I'm using Veeam Windows Agent version 6.1 but I can't upgrade to version 6.2 because when I try to install new .exe... says me the next message: In-place upgrade is supported starting from version 4.0 or later".
Can you help me?
Thanks.
Jordi.

Hello Jordi,
That sounds like a technical issue. Update from 6.1 to 6.2 must be possible.
We cannot investigate such issues through a forum topic. Please provide a support case ID for this issue, as requested by our forum policy. Without case number, your comments may be eventually deleted by moderators.
Best regards,
Fabian

Re: Agent upgrade v6.1 to v6.2 doesn't work
Hi Fabian,
Yes, I have a ticket with support, but I'm without backup of the server, because I don't have Veeam Agent installed.
It's more important a solution in this issue!
Thanks.
Jordi.

Hi Jordi
I checked our current cases and I can only see the case from you with that error message. We need our support team to continue the investigation. If you believe the case is not going anywhere, please consider to use our Talk to a Manager option to inform our support management team about your case. You can ask for an escalation of the case to the next level if the current troubleshooting steps didn't solved the upgrade situation.

What I'm trying to understand from the case notes, why are you trying to update the same agent once from VSPC and once from VBR? The agent should only be managed and updated by one of these products.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Agent upgrade v6.1 to v6.2 doesn't work
Hello Fabian,
It is a case inherited from the previous update, which was solved by creating a protection group.
This is currently not working... and it worries me because I have no server backup.
Now, everything is being managed from VBR (Or should...).
Thank you so much.
