Yeah in V13 it is possible. I recommend to upgrade v13 your environment.

Right, it's documented in What's New for V13.

Thx, I'll give it a try once I've v13 fully working. But then I do not understand the note in v13 docs "Removed or deleted machines can no longer be excluded from the SureBackup job". Do I misunderstand this note as is sounds exactly like what this is about. Everything else in v13 docs fur SB linked jobs https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/u ... tml?ver=13 reads like before in v12 https://helpcenter.veeam.com/archive/ba ... nk_vm.html

Second level support also points out that its still not possible and pointing to v13 documentation. So either I misunderstood your comments and the What's New note, or it not possible. Unfortunately I can not test.

“Regarding exclusions question, unfortunately at the moment there is no option to set exclusion for the linked job VMs which are not part of the backup job now.

Ok, thx. Then please let someone adjust the documentation and train L1/L2 support about this. I know that this forum is not a support forum, but exactly this is why I still post here - and I appreciate that I get better information here.

Let's not be too hard on the support team about this. We've been waiting for these features for years, so we're adapting quickly :) Thanks again to everyone.

I recommend you always use Send Feedback functionality at the bottom of each Online Help page instead of posting change requests here. This form automatically creates a ticket for the Technical Documentation team and they will address it promptly. On the other hand, they will never see your feedback here between all the forum posts.

And as soon as the documentation fixed, our L1/L2 will be "trained" automatically due to the way they obtain product information when responding to support cases.

I also mentioned this to support in my case - my expectation is that support also has an interested that this gets updated. I just do not give feedback on such a page until I'm sure that the information is wrong - I did this now.

For me as customer who spent now nearly 2 weeks with L1/L2 support finding a solution for this (and other) issue, it is frustrating. And if I would not have posted here, case would have been closed and I would still think that this option was not yet implemented.
