Re: Veeam Wishlist / Reports
Hello theta12,
Backup job historical information report is job-based, not VM based, that's why there is no such an option. If we get more requests like yours, we may add another one and change the report options.
As for Backup Infrastructure Custom Data, we are planing to add custom backup report with historical data.
Thanks!

Feature Request for Reporting:
We have several Physical Servers that we need reporting on for audit purposes. Ideally, the "Job Configuration Dump" report that currently runs ONLY for VMs would be perfect for us. Either a separate "Job Configuration Dump" report for Physcial Agents (Windows and Linux) or include agent backups in that existing report. This would completely satisfy our internal auditors (I have to do this quarterly).

Hello David and welcome to the community!
We will consider adding agent policies and agent jobs to the mentioned report.
Thanks for the request.
Would you like to get agent-related data in any other report?

[MERGED] feature request-Job Config. Dump report for Physic
Veeam One Reporter has a “Job Configuration Dump” that produces the information for our auditing purposes. It would be helpful if we could get this report for Physical Servers as well.

Apparently, "All Jobs" does not include "All Jobs". I need to be able to have Windows Agent jobs to appear in the Backup Historical Jobs report. This is a compliance issue that I cannot report on all jobs in my environment.

Shestakov,
As of right now, I don't need any agent related data in the other reports. If that issue pops up I'll be sure to report the request right here.

Re: Veeam Wishlist / Reports
Hello,
Is there a possibility to send multiple reports in a single email ?
When I schedule a whole folder, I still get one email per report.
Is there such an option, and if not, is it upcoming in future releases ?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Julien and welcome to the community!
I believe there is no such an option right now, however I discuss a possible workaround with R&D team.
How many reports do you have in folder?

I do not have a complete list of what reports we want to send, but maybe a little bit less than 10.
Thank you for you quick reply.

Currently there is no such an option, but I'll take your request into account for later updates.
Note that if you send 10+ reports they size may exceed the mail agent limit.

Re: Veeam Wishlist / Reports
Will there ever be any possibility of re-sorting the results of the existing reports so that the report will be structured the way we want it? For example, the Restore Operator Activity report sorts by Username, then the restore point the data is being restored from, restored item, destination, Start Time, status. This report has what we need but I'd rather be able to put things in chronological order first, then by user and then result (Start Time, Initiator, Restored Item, Status, Restore Point). 'Custom Reports' are useless as I can't change anything with this report. I keep coming back to how limited Veeam One Reporting is. Is there any other way to actually build a report to display the results the way i'd like them or should I just resort to looking at the SQL tables manually and trying another product to pull and report the data I want?

Re: Veeam Wishlist / Reports
Hello,
Some reports have the "Sort by" option in its parameters, some reports have tables with clickable columns for sorting.
As for the Restore Operator Activity report, it doesn't have the sorting option, however we will add it in the upcoming versions.
Could you specify other reports where the sorting is missing?
Thanks!

Re: Veeam Wishlist / Reports
I would think this would be extremely beneficial to almost all reports, but anything with any kind of VM inventory where you could sort by Name, IP address or Operating system would be helpful. Backup History with Status and backup historical info would be the other two besides the Restores report that would help me.

Re: Veeam Wishlist / Reports
The 'Backup Infrastructure Assessment' report is great for comparing your Veeam infrastructure against best practice.
Not only for your own confidence in the configuration, but for management and auditors.
One issue we've come across, is the section called 'Direct SAN access iSCSI performance tweaks'.
We don't use iSCSI, never have, and have no intention to use it - but the Veeam Report still flags up our configuration as in a Warning state in the summary graph and Verification results. I can't find any way to suppress it.
Feature Requests:
Being able to confirm whether you have iSCSI or not, or better iSCSI detection - with a 'Not Required' result
Also, an exclusion mask field would be useful - in the VM tools section, for VM appliances for instance, that can't have VM tools installed/upgraded
Both of those would help in giving a clear score on measuring Veeam Infrastructure against best practice, and a more accurate result. (ours is currently a low 78%, despite meeting all possible BPs).

Re: Veeam Wishlist / Reports
Hello,
Do you have proxies configured to use the Direct SAN Access?
Trying to understand if it's a bug or bad design.
Thanks!

Re: Veeam Wishlist / Reports
We do use Direct SAN - but for FC only, and as far as I know - the recommended registry tweaks only apply to iSCSI.
But it still gets flagged up as not best practice in the report, for all Direct SAN.
For the VM tools section, a name mask to exclude, rather than include particular VMs (as in the Protected VMs report) would be useful.
I understand that VM tools is best practice - and 98% of our VMs have them, but there are always appliances (Veeam VLab for instance), which you have no root access to.

Thanks for the clarification.
I'll talk to developers & QA about the Direct SAN check.
As for the VM exclusion request, it's taken into account.

For the VM Daily Protection Status report, add a Previous Day interval.
For the Interval period, all the selection of a single day or a set of days instead of forcing M-Su.
Allow a manual selection for the beginning of the week instead of forcing Monday. Our work weeks begin on Sunday, not Monday.

Could you explain the use case? Don't 7 days work for you?For the VM Daily Protection Status report, add a Previous Day interval.
That's fair. Have you tried "7 days from" option? For the Interval period, all the selection of a single day or a set of days instead of forcing M-Su.

Re: Veeam Wishlist / Reports
Nikita,
Thanks!
For my daily reports, I really only need the previous day. If I run the report before the end of the day, say 11 PM, and if a job is still running as it crosses over into the next day, it doesn't show on the report that was ran at 11 PM. If I run the report the following day, it will show jobs that have ran and completed, for the day the report was ran, up until the time the report was run along with the previous 6 days which can create confusion as to what day the report is actually for. If there is an option for "Previous day", then it would strictly for that one day, no confusion.
"7 days from" only works if I run the report manually. I have my reports scheduled to run, so changing this manually each day defeats the purpose of the schedule.
Thanks!

Have you checked Job History report? For my daily reports, I really only need the previous day.
We may also modify "VM Daily Protection Status" report, but it looks like "Job History" already addresses your needs.
You can run reports every Sunday with Interval = Past 7 days. Thus it will generate reports for period from Sunday to Saturday.Allow a manual selection for the beginning of the week instead of forcing Monday. Our work weeks begin on Sunday, not Monday.

Re: Veeam Wishlist / Reports
The Job History report has more info than I need to present to the business and it doesn't show the status of each VM in the job directly. I just need date, job name, VM, and success or fail. It also does not have a Previous day interval. The VM Daily Protection Status report is exactly what I need, just a different time frame than what's currently available.Have you checked Job History report?
This suggestion will satisfy my requirements. Thank you.You can run reports every Sunday with Interval = Past 7 days. Thus it will generate reports for period from Sunday to Saturday.

Now splash screen, the one that appears while Veeam ONE Monitor is launching, is not forced to be on the top.
Do you mean some other splash screen?
Thanks
